Located in the beautiful Hawkes Bay, Flying Lotus Yoga offers classes in Taradale at OM fitness studio every Saturday morning. Choose from a private class to start out or an uplifting Hatha Vinyasa Flow group class on a Saturday morning. If you can't make the Optimal Me class on a Saturday, you can join the online Vinyasa Flow class every Tuesday evening on Zoom. All welcome, there is something for everybody!
We are located above Proactive rehab on 12 Lee Road in Taradale. The entrance is at the front door of Proactive rehab, straight past the reception, down the hallway, and upstairs to the left. Saturday morning's class the entrance is through the back gate and upstairs.

Bri has studied Ashtanga and Hatha asana, classical yoga philosophy, Sanskrit chanting, and meditation in South India and holds an RYT 200HR teacher certification. The holistic yoga practice that is good for improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall wellness. The teaching style incorporates traditional yoga philosophy and Sanskrit chanting and counting. I want my students to do well and get the most out of each session. We come to yoga for many different reasons and I support whatever each individual needs to get out of the practice.

The eightfold path of yoga - Patanjali's Yoga Sutra is a text covering many aspects of life, beginning with a code of conduct and ending with the goal of yoga, to find one's True Self. It is probably the most authoritative text on yoga written over 4000 years ago. Within the scripture, there are eight steps to awakening or enlightenment through yoga.
